Become a Resident Champion.

Role Summary

At MTVH we understand the importance of maintaining resident engagement throughout the lifespan of a regeneration project. The Resident Champion program seeks to establish a core group of resident volunteers who will actively participate in shaping the regeneration of Heston Grange estate. These champions will play a vital role in representing the needs and concerns of the wider resident community. Resident Champions will:

  • be passionate about their community and willing to contribute to the regeneration process.

  • be able to build and maintain strong relationships with fellow residents, fostering a sense of community and supporting MTVH in understanding local needs and concerns.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion

  • Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, sharing their ideas and experiences to help us make things better

Key responsibilities

Codesign the terms of reference for the group. Through collaboration with fellow champions and MTVH representatives, clear guidelines regarding roles, responsibilities, and communication protocols for the resident champion group will be established.

  • Collaborate with MTVH to ensure clear and effective communication with residents

  • Be an ambassador for engagement. Encourage neighbours to participate in resident meetings, surveys, or other ways to share their feedback.

  • Engaging with neighbours to review design proposals and gather feedback.

  • Actively participate in design workshops, providing valuable insights to inform final design decisions.

  • Participate in topic specific workshops that will focus on particular areas of resident engagement, including social value and energy transition pathways.

  • Serve as a sounding board for key regeneration decisions impacting the estate.
